Joining me again this year to work with the shooters is MLL star Jesse Hubbard, known throughout the game as the best pure shooter the sport of lacrosse has ever seen. Jesse is a 5-time MLL All-Pro and has led Major League Lacrosse in scoring 3 of the past 5 seasons playing for the New Jersey Pride. Jesse was the MLL league MVP in 2001 as an Attackman. Jesse is the all-time leading goal scorer for Princeton University, where he was a 3-time All-American and won 3 National Championships. Jesse was a member of the 1998 USA World Team and helped lead them to winning the 1998 World Championship. Jesse is the head of all product development for Warrior Lacrosse and is a player for the Marin Lacrosse club. This clinic will include shooting demonstrations by Jesse, instruction, station work and drills at which you can improve your shot under the expert eye of our staff. Players will end the day by shooting on the goalies from the EMW Goalie Clinic featuring Coach Jim Beardmore.
Joining me again to work with the goalies is former Major Indoor Lacrosse star Jim Beardmore. Jim was a 2-time All-Pro and played 6 years of Professional Indoor Lacrosse for both the Washington Wave and the Pittsburg Bulls. As a Professional, Jim would play the first half of games as a goalie and would return for the second half with a short stick and play as a midfielder. Jim played in college for the University of Maryland where he was a 1st Team Division 1 All-American, ACC Player of the Year and 1st Team All-ACC. Jim was famous for never wearing a "chest protector" when playing goalie at Maryland, he was confident in his style of play and quick enough to stop shots with his stick. After graduating from Maryland the NCAA evaluated this and enacted the current rule that all players must wear all protective equipment at all times. Jim has been as far as Japan and Australia to coach lacrosse and is a Director for Nike Lacrosse Camps. Jim is currently the Head Coach of Severna Park High School in Maryland and just won the 2004 Maryland State Championship. Jim's father is the legendary lacrosse Hall of Fame coach "Bud" Beardmore who built the powerhouse lacrosse program at the University of Maryland where he won several National Championships. The goalie clinic will include coach Beardmore's personal instruction, demonstrations, favorite drills, motivation and passion for the sport of lacrosse. Goalies will end by receiving shots from the participants of the shooting clinic featuring Jesse Hubbard.
